Dr Ruth Mallors is the Director of the Knowledge Transfer Network for AeroSpace, Aviation and Defence. The KTN is the single overarching network spanning Industry, Government and Academia, driving innovation and collaboration across the sectors, currently engaging with some 2000 organisations. Her direction of the KTN activity ensures that these organisations and others are engaged with opportunities to further their own success in technology advancements.
Ruth is widely experienced across a range of sectors, having worked in roles that began in academic research and evolved towards leadership in the areas of innovation and technology advancement. Her industrial experience spans several sectors including: professional services, engineering, oil and gas, retail and now the broad sectors of Aerospace, Aviation, Space and Defence. Her skill set has led to roles in knowledge management and transfer, change management and innovation programmes.
Ruth is currently the Science Governor of Sydenham School, a Science and Maths focused comprehensive school in south east London, and is also an active STEM Ambassador.
Ruth holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Chemistry from University College, London.
Ruth is a keen skier and a reluctant cyclist out of ski season.
